Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Alberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naoki Matsuhiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alberto comes to the cage accompanied by Rap De Armas. Naoki Matsuhiko has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsuhiko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Matsuhiko bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Alberto fails with an attempt to clinch.
Matsuhiko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alberto circles away quickly and effectively.
Matsuhiko looks for a takedown but Alberto sprawls well.

Matsuhiko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Matsuhiko showed some decent athleticism there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Matsuhiko shoots in looking for a takedown. Alberto tries to sprawl out of it but Matsuhiko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alberto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Alberto is pressed up against the cage. Matsuhiko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alberto down to the mat. Alberto avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Alberto moves in looking to clinch but Matsuhiko pushes him off.

Matsuhiko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alberto throws out the jab.

Alberto wants to clinch.
Alberto throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Alberto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Matsuhiko shoots in for a double leg but Alberto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Matsuhiko shoots in but Alberto avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Alberto connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Alberto throws a front kick aimed at Matsuhiko's knee but Matsuhiko avoids it well.

Alberto tries to bum rush Matsuhiko with a series of wild strikes but Matsuhiko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Alberto lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Matsuhiko backs up against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
