Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paolo Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Moby-Ooh Yeah. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Ribeiro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ribeiro lands with a nice combination. Jones backs away looking to recover.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Ribeiro, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Ribeiro against the cage but Ribeiro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jones looks for a takedown but Ribeiro sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed right hand from Ribeiro misses the target.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ribeiro tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ribeiro to the ground. Ribeiro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ribeiro stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Ribeiro lands with a shot to the body.
Jim Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Ribeiro misses.
A punch combination from Jones misses.
Ribeiro fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Ribeiro has cracked Jones with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Ribeiro lands another huge swinging hook and Jones tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Jones, before Ribeiro can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Paolo Ribeiro!
