Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lancelote Von der Rib!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Von der Rib is defended easily by the warrior.
Von der Rib is trying hard to land a takedown here. the warrior sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Von der Rib shoots for a double leg takedown but the warrior sprawls well. He's pushed Von der Rib's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

the warrior closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Von der Rib drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but the warrior manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Von der Rib has the warrior in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

the warrior got a little sloppy there for a moment and Von der Rib has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, the warrior has managed to get both his arms back between Von der Rib's legs - danger averted.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Von der Rib has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but the warrior can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Von der Rib had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. the warrior is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Von der Rib Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take the warrior's back instead.
Von der Rib has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, the warrior has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Von der Rib has got his arm under the warrior's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! the warrior has spun round into Von der Rib's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Von der Rib escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. the warrior gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well the warrior has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
