Simmons kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Take A Ride On My Bologna Pony! ! !. Pequeno has chosen Cão da Morte by Mão Morta as his entrance music. Joao Pequeno has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Simmons closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pequeno circles away.
Richard Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pequeno not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Simmons throws a strike but Pequeno rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Pequeno gets to his feet. Simmons looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That was a close round but I would say that Richard Simmons will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown by Simmons or perhaps it was just good defense by Pequeno which made him look bad.
Simmons will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A looping hook to the body misses from Simmons. Pequeno does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pequeno fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Simmons to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Simmons looks to clinch but Pequeno throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Simmons taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
