Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sofa King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vinny Russo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russo connects with a nice looking jab.

Russo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
King is trying to escape the position but Russo is controlling the position.
Russo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Russo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, King has escaped the position, nice work there.
King tries to buck Russo off but Russo is having none of it.
You can see the frustration on King's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
King tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Russo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

King is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Russo slows the pace down.
King on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if King tries to get out of the position.

Russo tries to score with some ground and pound. King controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Russo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt King will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Russo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Russo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but King is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Russo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt King will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
King struggling a bit here.
Russo lands a nice forearm strike.
King is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Russo on the ground.
Russo controls the position.

King can't do much from the bottom here.

Let's hope that Russo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King wants to control but Russo postures up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Russo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down King's shoulder. That is not cool.

Despite being in the dominant position, Vinny Russo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

King is breathing heavily.
Russo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Russo has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for King. Oh but Russo has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! King goes limp - he's gone! Russo jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
