Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amadeus Astra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jordan Clark was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amadeus Astra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Clark! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clark works over Astra's head and body with a nice combination. Clark's corner calls for a 1-2. Clark obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Astra shoots in and bounces Clark off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Astra thows a big elbow that misses. Clark working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Astra. Clark wants to stand and escape but Astra is having none of it. Clark keeping moving, preventing Astra from controlling successfully. Astra in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Astra won't allow Clark to get back to his feet. Astra postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Clark gets caught flat footed, as Astra shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Clark not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Astra with a flurry of punches that miss. Astra preventing the sweep. Astra scoring with some ground and pound. Astra trying to control but Clark is working from the bottom. Astra throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Astra is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Astra shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Clark gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Astra to score an easy takedown into full guard. Astra has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Clark keeping moving, preventing Astra from controlling successfully. Clark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Astra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Astra working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Astra content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Clark is looking to stand up but Astra isn't so interested in that idea. Clark keeping moving, preventing Astra from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Astra throwing strikes from guard but Clark blocks nicely. Astra throws a big right hand that misses.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Clark uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Astra has time to react. Astra fails with a takedown attempt. Clark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Astra moves away. Astra steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Clark. Astra uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clark.
Clark misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Clark looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Astra shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clark but Clark pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amadeus Astra. That's going to take a lot out of him. Clark throws a nice looking combination but Astra bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Astra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Clark as he jumps to the side. Clark misses with a straight right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Clark misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Astra.
Clark looks to throw the jab but Astra is out of range. Clark looks to land a combination but Astra avoids it well. Nice straight punches there by Clark. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Clark. Clark looks gassed! Clark gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Clark preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Clark wants to stand but Astra is controlling the position. Astra postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Astra drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Astra jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Astra throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Clark works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amadeus Astra dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Clark looks to land a combination but Astra avoids it well. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Astra is defended easily by Clark. Astra looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Clark leaves Astra with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amadeus Astra. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clark misses with an uppercut. Jordan Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clark looks to land a combination but Astra avoids it well. Clark throws a right hand that Astra ducks under and follows up with a left that Astra also avoids with ease. Clark swinging wilding here.

Clark misses the shot to the body. Astra shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Astra showed some decent athleticism there. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Astra connects with a nice short shot to Clark's temple. Astra seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clark does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Astra seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clark can do anything to dispel that myth.

Clark lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Astra circles away quickly and effectively. Astra shoots in and drives through. Clark sprawls well. Clark looks to land a combination. Astra sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Clark looks for the body kick but Astra saw that one coming. Astra takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Astra misses the shot to the body. Clark throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Astra gets the takedown into side control. Clark is not content to let Astra control the position. Clark takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Amadeus Astra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The ground and pound from Astra seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Astra working the ground and pound. Astra creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Clark sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Astra tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Astra has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Astra working the body and head with strikes. Clark tries to improve position but can't. Ground and pound from Astra. Clark is staying active underneath Astra, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Astra works his way into full mount! Astra punishing his opponent with strikes.

Clark wants to hold on but Astra pushes him away. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Astra cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Amadeus Astra is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Astra moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Clark tries to buck Astra off but Astra is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Amadeus Astra showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Astra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
