Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buns Sunbay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has chosen Du Hast as his entrance music. The key to victory for Buns Sunbay has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sergio Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sunbay shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sanchez as he avoids it easily.
Sunbay fails with a takedown attempt.
Sanchez's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sanchez duly obliges.


It looks like Buns Sunbay has been cut.
Sanchez misses with a double jab.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sunbay is defended easily by Sanchez.

Sanchez is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sunbay has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sanchez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Sanchez has hold of Sunbay's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sunbay manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Sanchez swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sunbay is now in Sanchez's guard. A big mistake from Sanchez there, giving up the dominant position!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sunbay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sanchez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Horrible takedown by Sanchez or perhaps it was just good defense by Sunbay which made him look bad.

Sanchez tries to bum rush Sunbay with a series of wild strikes but Sunbay uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sanchez throws a right hand that Sunbay ducks under and follows up with a left that Sunbay also avoids with ease.

Well Sanchez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
