Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, speedy devil!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, weirdo stick!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
stick throws a leg kick but devil sees it coming and checks it nicely.
weirdo stick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
devil tries to clinch there but stick circles away.

stick closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
stick fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
stick tries to circle away but devil has him pinned against the ropes.
stick lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

stick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

stick gets the takedown into side control.
devil tries to buck stick off but stick is having none of it.
devil can't do much from the bottom here.
devil is looking for a sweep.
stick tries to stand but devil is controlling his head.
devil is looking to regain half guard here but stick keeps moving and retains side control.
devil is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, stick asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

stick works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
devil is looking for a sweep.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

devil gets in close and instigates a clinch.
devil is trying to force a seperation but stick has the dominant position.
stick prevents devil from breaking the clinch.
stick stops a takedown attempt from devil.
stick throws a blind hook that connects with the side of devils head.
devil can't break the clinch.

stick gets a trip takedown into half guard.
devil tries to get to full guard but stick has control of the leg.
stick is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

stick stands up out of the half guard.
stick throws a solid leg kick but devil takes the impact on his shin and smiles at stick.
stick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
stick shoots in and drives through. devil sprawls well.
stick looks gassed!
devil misses with a series of wild punches.
stick throws a low kick but devil avoids it.
stick misses with a leg kick.
devil tries to clinch but stick moves out of range.
stick lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
devil plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

stick looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for devil!
stick tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

devil keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
stick controlling his opponent.
devil is looking to get to half guard.
stick avoids the attempt from devil to control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
devil tries to reverse the position but stick maintains control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
stick takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
devil is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
devil tries to reverse the position but stick maintains control.
stick avoids the attempt from devil to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

devil closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

devil has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
stick shoots in for a double leg but devil sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

devil clinches.

stick's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

devil shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches stick napping and manages to drive through into side control!
devil wants to lay and pray for a moment but stick keeps working.
stick is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, devil asserts his dominance and retains side control.

devil tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

devil has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
stick swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and devil counters with an inside leg kick.

devil gets in close and instigates a clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from devil.
stick is trying to maintain a safe position but devil gets an underhook and turns stick into the ropes.
devil is working for takedown but stick is calmly controlling the position for now.

stick gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
devil wants to stand but stick is controlling the position.

stick must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close second round but I would say that speedy devil will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

devil tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. stick smiles and moves away.

speedy devil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of weirdo stick.

devil clinches up with stick and pushes him back against the ropes.
stick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
devil landing knees to the body.
stick lands an elbow that stopped devil in his tracks for a moment.
devil has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
devil changes levels and goes for a takedown here. stick fights it off and pushes away nicely.
devil fails in his attempt to clinch.

stick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
stick doesn't manage to clinch there - devil circles away.

stick tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and devil avoids it.
devil is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
A frustrated look appears on devil's face as he tries to break the clinch.
devil wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but stick has him pressed against the ropes.
stick has a couple of punches blocked by devil.
stick creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
stick softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.

devil wants the takedown. stick is fighting it off but devil persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in stick's guard against the ropes.
stick seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
devil working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
devil tries to stand but stick is controlling from the bottom.

stick pushes devil off and gets back to his feet.
Nice uppercut there from stick.
devil showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from stick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from devil.
devil shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as stick sprawls well. stick wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. devil gets slowly back to his feet.
devil takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to speedy devil.
I think devil has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
