Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brody Savanis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Savanis misses the target.
North throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Savanis.
Savanis tries to work over North's front leg with a kick but North checks it.
North fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Savanis on the side of the head.
Savanis fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but North is out of range.
Savanis is looking to land body kicks.
North is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Savanis.
Brody Savanis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice leg kick lands there from Savanis.
No luck with that takedown attempt from North.
North moves forwards but Savanis connects with a nice, crisp jab.

North misses with a takedown attempt - Savanis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Savanis darts in and clinches North up against the cage.
Savanis can't get the takedown.
North prevents Savanis from breaking the clinch.
North is working for takedown but Savanis is calmly controlling the position for now.

Savanis is breathing heavily.

Savanis loads up on a big right hand but North slips the punch.
North tries to clinch but Savanis is having none of it.
Savanis throws a head kick that North semi-blocks.
North keeps the fight on the outside.
Savanis misses with a low kick.
North tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Savanis falls off balance throwing a combination
and North counters with a lovely straight right hand!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

North manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

North is looking for a triangle but Savanis pushes his legs off easily.
Savanis tries to free his leg and advance position but North is retaining full guard.
Savanis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as North works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

North working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Savanis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Savanis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

North has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Savanis doesn't defend quickly enough and North has managed to lock this one up! Can Savanis escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to North on a fantastic submission victory.
