Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Bowling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Andersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Martin Andersson!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andersson feints and as Bowling raises his hands in defense, Andersson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Andersson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Andersson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bowling gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Andersson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bowling can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bowling would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bowling got a little sloppy there for a moment and Andersson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bowling has managed to get both his arms back between Andersson's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that John Bowling will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Andersson wants to pass to mount but Bowling is defending the position.

A close second round but Martin Andersson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Andersson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Bowling.

Bowling moves in looking to clinch but Andersson pushes him off.
Bowling tries to close the distance and clinch but Andersson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Andersson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bowling knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Andersson on the ground.

Andersson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Andersson has an Americana. Bowling didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Andersson is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Andersson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
