The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Provinzano fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nice straight punches there by Gold. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gold.
Gold looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Gold scores with the left hand. Provinzano knows he should have avoided that one.
Gold lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Provinzano defending well as Gold loads up on a big left hand.
Gold jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Provinzano is rocked!

It looks like Tanner Provinzano has been cut.
Gold misses with a head kick.
Jamie Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gold throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gold fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gold thumps Provinzano with a low kick.
Provinzano is breathing heavily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Provinzano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gold scores with a body shot.
Gold is looking to slow Provinzano down with leg kicks.
Good leg kick by Gold there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A jab-cross combination lands for Gold and sends Provinzano crashing to the mat! Gold follows him down to the mat - Provinzano regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Oh Provinzano is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gold not doing much here.

Gold's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Gold is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Provinzano has managed to free his arm - good work.
Provinzano seems to have got his legs back now.
Gold uses his free foot to push down on Provinzano's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Provinzano.
Gold takes Provinzano's back.

Gold is working for a rear naked choke. Provinzano is not defending it well and Gold has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Provinzano refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Provinzano's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
