Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasil Georgiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Georgiev, as that shot connected.

It looks like Brutus Hayes has been cut.
Hayes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hayes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hayes ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hayes no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Georgiev throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Hayes stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Georgiev follows into mount!

Georgiev scores with a one two! Hayes had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

No joy there for Hayes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A right-left combo lands from Georgiev.
Georgiev pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Georgiev closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Georgiev throws a series of punches but Hayes avoids them all with ease.
Hayes shoots for a takedown but Georgiev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hayes is looking to clinch but Georgiev is avoiding it.
Georgiev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hayes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hayes shoots in looking for a takedown. Georgiev tries to sprawl out of it but Hayes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Georgiev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Georgiev moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hayes shoots for a double leg takedown but Georgiev sprawls well. He's pushed Hayes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Georgiev throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Hayes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Georgiev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hayes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brutus Hayes.
