PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Sudworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeru Toyokawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeru Toyokawa!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Sudworth misses.
Sudworth throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Toyokawa fails to land the takedown.
Toyokawa shoots in for a takedown but Sudworth shows good takedown defense.
Toyokawa avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sudworth uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Toyokawa.
Sudworth with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Toyokawa to score with a decent uppercut.
Sudworth throws an overhand right that lands on Toyokawa's shoulder, as Toyokawa tries to avoid the shot.

Sudworth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Toyokawa connects with a nice looking jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sudworth darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Toyokawa wants to improve his position but Sudworth is controlling well.

Sudworth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Toyokawa is just riding it out for now. Sudworth eventually gives up the hold.

Toyokawa scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Sudworth manages to mount him!
Toyokawa is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Sudworth is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Toyokawa can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sudworth wants to control the pace but Toyokawa is squirming around nicely.
Toyokawa is looking to get to half guard.
Toyokawa has given up his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sudworth is looking to control Toyokawa but Toyokawa is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Toyokawa is really stuck here.

Toyokawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sudworth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sudworth is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Toyokawa has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sudworth is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Toyokawa defends well.

Toyokawa leaves Sudworth with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A punch lands to the side of Sudworth 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Oh Sudworth is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Toyokawa knocks Sudworth out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
