The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nelson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. rogerio manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

rogerio had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nelson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. rogerio Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nelson's back instead.
