Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lance Kingkaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frasier Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crane has chosen Frasier theme tune as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance Kingkaid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frasier Crane!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane throws a low kick but Kingkaid avoids it.
Crane shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kingkaid but Kingkaid pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Crane fails with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Crane.
Lance Kingkaid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frasier Crane.

Kingkaid shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Crane is concentrating on defense, preventing Kingkaid from advancing position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crane works his way to full guard. Good work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crane is on top in guard.
Crane showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crane passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.

Crane is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kingkaid defends it well.
Kingkaid misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Kingkaid is looking to control Crane's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kingkaid avoid being mounted?
Kingkaid is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kingkaid throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Crane is trying to control. Kingkaid wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Crane blocks the strikes from Kingkaid.

Kingkaid punching from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Crane doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kingkaid counters with a single leg into guard. Crane didn't expect that.
Crane looks gassed!
Crane is trying to keep Kingkaid in close.
Kingkaid might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kingkaid throwing strikes from guard but Crane blocks nicely.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Crane avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Crane trying to control the position.
Kingkaid trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Crane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kingkaid is one step ahead there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kingkaid with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lance Kingkaid dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Crane has his takedown stuffed

and Kingkaid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Crane's guard.
Kingkaid postures up.
Crane pulls Kingkaid in close to his closed guard and prevents Kingkaid from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kingkaid chips away with some ground and pound.
Crane is breathing heavily.
Crane keeping full guard, as Kingkaid tries to pass.
Kingkaid throwing strikes but missing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crane controls Kingkaid momentarily but Kingkaid frees himself.
Kingkaid thows a big elbow that misses.
Kingkaid preventing the sweep.
Crane working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Crane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Crane manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Crane content just to control the position here.
Crane wants to control the pace but Kingkaid is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crane controlling the position easily from mount.
Crane tries to control but Kingkaid wriggling away.
Crane in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Crane content just to control the position here.
Kingkaid on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kingkaid tries to get out of the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Frasier Crane just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Crane closes the distance looking to clinch

and Kingkaid counters with a nice double leg into side control. Crane won't be happy with that.
Crane manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kingkaid's best efforts.
Crane avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kingkaid.
Crane trying to control but Kingkaid postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lance Kingkaid dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Kingkaid shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kingkaid showed some decent athleticism there.
Kingkaid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crane on the ground.
Kingkaid thows a huge punch but Crane dodges it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crane won't allow Kingkaid to pass to mount.
Crane landing strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Crane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kingkaid is working away from the top position though.

Crane tries to kick Kingkaid off but Kingkaid keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lance Kingkaid overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Crane pushes Kingkaid off and gets back to his feet.
Kingkaid checks a low kick from Crane.
Crane doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kingkaid counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Crane controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kingkaid won't allow Crane to get back to his feet.
Kingkaid is fighting to break Crane's control of his arms but Crane is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kingkaid got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kingkaid has managed to get both his arms back between Crane's legs - danger averted.

Kingkaid throws a strike but Crane rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lance Kingkaid is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kingkaid working a defensive guard but Crane manages to pass into side control anyway.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Crane in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kingkaid is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Frasier Crane!
