Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Fist!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marllon Campos!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fist closes the distance and clinches.
Campos jumps guard but Fist stands there with Campos around his waist. Campos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Campos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fist just stands there and leans against the cage.

Danny Fist has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marllon Campos.

Fist is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Campos wants to get back to full guard but Fist has mounted him!

Fist goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Campos turns into him and now he's in Fist's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fist wants to stand but Campos is controlling the position.
Fist trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fist is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Fist perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fist looking to secure an arm triangle but Campos defends it well.
Fist takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Danny Fist just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Fist closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Campos did well to prevent Fist getting side control.

Fist has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Campos is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fist yanks on the arm and Campos is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fist.
