The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahjoub tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mir paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mir shoots for a double leg takedown but Mahjoub sprawls well. He's pushed Mir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mir will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mir has a takedown stuffed.
Ramzi Mahjoub has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronny Mir.

Mahjoub moves into range and clinches up with Mir.
Mahjoub tries to pull guard but Mir won't allow it.

Mahjoub breaks from the clinch.
Mahjoub could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nice sprawl there from Mahjoub as Mir shoots in.

Oooh a lovely combination from Mahjoub sends Mir down but not out. Mahjoub dives into side control looking to finish.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mahjoub cracks Mir with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Mahjoub immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Mir is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Mahjoub!
