Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Liam Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiiba Yap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Striker's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, MMA THEME. Liam Striker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kiiba Yap's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liam Striker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kiiba Yap!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yap fails with a takedown attempt.
Striker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Striker looks to land a combination but Yap avoids it well.
A jab-cross combination lands for Striker and sends Yap crashing to the mat! Striker follows him down to the mat - Yap regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Kiiba Yap has been cut.

Striker decides to stand and escape the position.
Yap is still on wobbly legs! Can Striker finish him?
Liam Striker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yap shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Striker's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Yap is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Striker is surviving well by controlling Yap's body position as best he can.
Striker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yap on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Yap unloads with some shots from mount but Striker bucks and avoids them well.

Yap has hold of Striker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Striker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Yap swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Striker is now in Yap's guard. A big mistake from Yap there, giving up the dominant position!

Yap looking to hit a scissor sweep but Striker is one step ahead there.
Striker wanted to stand there but Yap had control of the position.

Yap looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Striker passes into half guard.
Yap tries to get to full guard but Striker has control of the leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Striker decides to return to a standing position.
Striker misses with a double jab.
Striker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Yap feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yap drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yap jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Yap has a takedown stuffed.
Striker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Yap changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Striker tries to avoid it but Yap manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Striker to the ground. Striker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Striker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yap manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yap shoots in but Striker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Liam Striker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kiiba Yap.

Striker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Striker lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Striker throws a right and a left that Yap avoids nicely.
Striker stuffs the takedown attempt from Yap. Yap gets slowly back to his feet.
Yap uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Striker.

Yap shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Striker but Striker pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Striker scores with a hook to the body. Yap takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Striker thuds his right hand into Yap's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Striker lands a nice hook to Yap's body. Yap takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Yap walks into a straight right hand from Striker.
Striker lands a lovely overhand right.
Striker misses with a wild body shot.
Striker misses with a series of wild punches.
Yap ducks under a wild hook from Striker.

Yap drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Striker defending against the ground and pound.
Yap tries to move to mount but Striker blocks the move with his legs.
Striker is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Striker is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Yap asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Yap.
Yap ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Striker scores with a decent looking hook.
Yap moves out of range as Striker strikes.
Yap shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Striker as he jumps to the side.
Danga de danga de dang - Striker scores with a four punch combination!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Striker lands the left hand.
Donk. Striker catches Yap right on the button with a cross.
Yap takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Striker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Yap.
Yap steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Striker.
Yap misses with a takedown attempt - Striker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Liam Striker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kiiba Yap.

Striker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yap.

Liam Striker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Yap is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Striker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yap.

Yap looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

I would just about give that final round to Kiiba Yap.
I think Striker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
