Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Sobral!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Svete Osh!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osh fails with a takedown attempt.
Sobral fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Osh sprawls well initially but Sobral persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sobral drops an elbow to the side of Osh's head.
Sobral winds up and cracks Osh with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Osh has a hand on Sobral's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Sobral takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Osh tries to control Sobral's body but Sobral pushes him off. Osh squirms to his side and now Sobral has his back!
Sobral has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Osh's body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sobral looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Sobral has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Osh tries to break free.
Osh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sobral. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sobral sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Osh taps out!
