The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zee Jr blocks the body kick.

labod is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

labod rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zee Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zee Jr is defended easily by labod.
Zee Jr shoots in for a double leg but labod sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

labod feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. labod connects with a nice short shot to Zee Jr's temple.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

labod fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and labod decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zee Jr's guard.

labod utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

labod moves into the clinch.
labod pushes off an throws an elbow but Zee Jr leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

labod ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. labod no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Zee Jr stands up over labod, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
