Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Park!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Park throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Park listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Gibson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Gibson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Park is refusing to be controlled, as Gibson sits in half guard.
Gibson blocks the strikes from Park.
Gibson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Park tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Park connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gibson momentarily.

Park throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Gibson stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Park follows into mount!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Park jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gibson manages to avoid the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gibson has closed the distance and engaged Park in a clinch.
Gibson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Park stalks Gibson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gibson's face. Gibson staggers backwards, shaken.

Park lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gibson circles away quickly and effectively.

Lucas Park is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Park bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

I've got Park winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
