The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alameda closes the distance and pushes Chidell back into the cage.
Alameda is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Chidell pulls him back up using the underhooks.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Fibelas Alameda just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Alameda is pressed up against the cage. Chidell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alameda down to the mat. Alameda avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Chidell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alameda as he jumps to the side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Alameda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
