Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chollo Henriques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henriques's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Pegasus Fantasy (Brasil). Chollo Henriques has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rua darts in and clinches Henriques up against the cage.
Rua tries to break the clinch but Henriques is controlling the position.
Henriques tries to stall but Rua uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Rua breaks from the clinch.
Henriques shoots in looking for a takedown. Rua tries to sprawl out of it but Henriques keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rua manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Henriques swats away the attempt to clinch by Rua.
Henriques uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rua.

Rua gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Henriques postures up in Rua's guard and throws a big left but Rua blocks it.

Henriques drops back looking for a leg! Rua is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rua manages to kick Henriques off! Henriques jumps back into Rua's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Henriques fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chollo Henriques. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Henriques is breathing heavily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Rua feints and as Henriques raises his hands in defense, Rua changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rua trying to control the position from guard on top but Henriques is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rua would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rua accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Henriques is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Henriques tries a body shot but Rua blocks it.

Rua works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Henriques looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rua passes into side control.

Rua decides to stand back up. Rua steps back and let's Henriques get back to his feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rua!
Henriques stuffs the takedown.

Rua gets a takedown into half guard.

Rua seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Henriques does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rua escapes and gets back to his feet.

Henriques feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rua is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Henriques is controlling him.

Rua has his foot on Henriques's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henriques works his way back into a safe position though.

Rua tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Henriques counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rua's guard now.

Henriques drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Henriques seems to have locked his on tight now - Rua screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Henriques, as he picks up the win!
