Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stone Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rotvigez Mencheres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mencheres misses with the combination.

Mencheres clinches.
Mencheres tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage.
Smith gets underhooks to prevent Mencheres's takedown attempt.

Smith has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mencheres uses from the top position.
Smith is striking off his back. Mencheres thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Mencheres wants to pass the guard but Smith is defending well.

Mencheres decides to stand up, so the ref orders Smith to his feet.

Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smith tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Mencheres is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Mencheres kicks Smith off and gets to his feet.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Mencheres moves out of range easily.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stone Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith lands a two punch combo.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Mencheres closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Mencheres shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mencheres gets slowly back to his feet.
Stone Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rotvigez Mencheres.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mencheres wants to get back to his feet but Smith drags him back down.
Smith throwing strikes but Mencheres manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Smith is in a horrible position here. Mencheres smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Stone Smith will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mencheres looks to land a body kick but Smith moved away.

Mencheres drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smith trying to control but Mencheres flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith avoids the strikes from Mencheres.
Mencheres is riding his opponent, not letting Smith buck him off.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Let's hope that Mencheres has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rotvigez Mencheres just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mencheres manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mencheres is pressing down on Smith's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Mencheres wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Smith wants to stand but Mencheres is controlling his posture from full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mencheres is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mencheres controls the pace.

Rotvigez Mencheres showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Mencheres fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Smith sprawls well initially but Mencheres persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
