The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton takes a swing at Loose's ribcage but misses.
Loose thows a body shot but no joy.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Newton.
Loose keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Loose tries to clinch up but Newton circles away and keeps his distance.

and Newton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Loose is wriggling around but Newton manages to pass to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Newton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Loose wants to control the action here but instead Newton manages to pass to full mount!

and Newton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Loose's guard now.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ben Newton just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Loose counters with a takedown into side control.

Loose decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Newton works Loose's body with a nice hook.

Loose must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Newton pulls Loose in close to prevent any damage.
Loose takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Newton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Loose is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Newton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Loose's back instead.
And that's the end of the fight!
Gray Loose comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Loose has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
