Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manson Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smitty Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wright comes to the cage accompanied by The Distillers - Drain the Blood. Smitty Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright is looking to clinch.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wright scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Jones tries to clinch but Wright moves away

and Wright counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wright.
Wright wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.

Wright fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Wright persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wright wants to stand but Jones has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Wright is keen to just control but Jones is a slippery customer.
Wright wants to stand up but Jones manages to regain full guard.

Jones will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Wright moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Wright.
Wright pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Wright scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wright does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
