PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emperor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Favre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Favre comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 17 Wonderful Years kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emperor shoots for a double leg takedown but Favre sprawls well. He's pushed Emperor 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Favre keeps the fight on the outside.

Favre has hold of Emperor 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Emperor manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Favre swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Emperor is now in Favre's guard. A big mistake from Favre there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Emperor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Favre is looking to control Emperor 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Favre avoid being mounted?
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Emperor lands a nice short elbow.

That was a close round but I would say that Fedor Emperor will probably get the nod.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Favre fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Emperor sprawls well initially but Favre persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Emperor has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Favre to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Emperor is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Favre pulls down on the head and he's put Emperor to sleep! This one is all over!
