Diaz has chosen Go To Sleep as his entrance music. Ricardo Diaz is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a wild combination.
Diaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Richarlison moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Ricky Richarlison will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Richarlison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Diaz sprawls well. Diaz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Richarlison gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz pushes Richarlison away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Richarlison gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Richarlison has hold of Diaz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Diaz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Richarlison cranks the arm and Diaz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Diaz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
