Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simone Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atkins comes to the cage accompanied by Unknown Soldier. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Atkins misses with a kick to the body.

Atkins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Atkins thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jackson to regain full guard.
Atkinsis looking to pass into half guard but Jackson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jackson is in guard.

Jackson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Atkins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Atkins has escaped and now he's on top!
Atkins wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Atkins is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Atkins passes Jackson 's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jackson is not content to let Atkins control the position.

Atkins decides to return to a standing position.

Atkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Atkins wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely.
Jackson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Atkins.

Atkins swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jackson is now in Atkins's guard. A big mistake from Atkins there, giving up the dominant position!
Atkins is trying to keep Jackson in close.

That's time! Atkins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Atkins.
Atkins doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jackson passes into side control, despite Atkins's attempt to control the position.
Atkins is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jackson off and has taken his back!
Jackson breaks Atkins's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Atkins is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Atkins manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jackson has Atkins in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Atkins is sitting in close to Jackson 's body. Jackson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Atkins is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Atkins is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jackson .
