Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnte Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Row (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Row has chosen In the End - Linkin Park as his entrance music. The key to victory for Johnte Potts has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Row bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Potts is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Row remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Row holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Row shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Potts pinned against the cage. Potts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A left and a right from Potts both land. Nice combination.

Row is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Row tries to score a power double leg takedown but Potts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Row somewhat.

Row changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Potts tries to avoid it but Row manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Potts to the ground. Potts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Johnte Potts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Row.

Potts throws a right and a left that Row avoids nicely.

Row has Potts up against the cage in a clinch.
Row drops down looking for an ankle pick but Potts pulls his leg out and moves away.
Row fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Potts avoids it really well and circles away.
Row is breathing heavily.
Row keeps the fight on the outside.
Potts looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Row has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Row shoots for a double leg takedown but Potts sprawls well. He's pushed Row's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Potts dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Row. That did some damage!
Row throws a leg kick that misses.
Potts avoids the head kick by Row.
Potts lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Row circles away quickly and effectively.
Potts looks to land a combination but Row avoids it well.
Row looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Potts is fending him off so far but Row persists. Nope, Potts circles away and we're back to standing.

Potts throws a push kick but Row slaps the foot to one side.

Row tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Potts was well out of range. Poor timing from Row.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Row slips a jab and a cross from Potts.
Potts misses with a double jab.
Row tries for a takedown but Potts sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Row decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Potts wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Potts counters with a series of strikes. Row will be more careful next time no doubt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnte Potts will probably get the nod.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mike Row just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Potts avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
