Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Santiago (ranked 3865 p4p, 22614 weight class) and Sss Sss (ranked 264 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabriel Santiago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 29 - 175 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sss Sss! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago moves into range and clinches up with Sss. Santiago pressing his opponent against the cage. Santiago looking for a takedown.
Santiago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Santiago. Gabriel Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Sss stops Santiago from standing up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sss controlling from the top position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Santiago turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Santiago manages to end up in side control. Sss wants to control but Santiago postures up. Santiago throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Sss works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Sss has hold of Santiago's hands but Santiago slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Sss controlling the position well.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Sss makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sss. Sss controls Santiago momentarily but Santiago frees himself. Sss keeping moving, preventing Santiago from controlling successfully. Sss utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sss wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Santiago wants to control from the top but Sss keeps moving. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Santiago is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sss can do to turn this around? Sss is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. No luck for Santiago with that takedown attempt. Santiago looks to land a combination but Sss avoids it well. Sss steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Santiago controls Sss momentarily but Sss frees himself. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Santiago wants to hit a sweep here but Sss passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Santiago there! Sss trying to control but he's not successful this time.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Sss might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Santiago haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Santiago tries to hold on but Sss postures up.

Let's hope that Sss has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
