Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Tribal (ranked 26125 p4p, 23308 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Tribal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Tribal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 51 - 113 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tribal fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kiang avoids it really well and circles away.
Kiang follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Tribal throws a body kick that misses.
Kiang counters with a body kick.
Tribal scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kiang fails with the takedown
and Tribal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tribal has closed the distance and engaged Kiang in a clinch.

Tribal gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
I was talking to Tribal's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Tribal's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Kiang is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tribal pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Tribal shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kiang is trying to defend but Tribal finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tribal fails with the takedown.
Tribal is breathing heavily.
No joy there for Tribal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kiang steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Tribal darts in and clinches Kiang up against the cage.
Tribal creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kiang's defenses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tribal is trying to force a seperation but Kiang has the dominant position.

Tribal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tribal will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kiang keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kiang follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Kiang has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kiang there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kiang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tribal is fending him off so far but Kiang persists. Nope, Tribal circles away and we're back to standing.

Kiang replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Tribal blocks it well.

Tribal has his feet on Kiang's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Tribal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice side step and Kiang releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tribal misses with a takedown attempt - Kiang sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kiang shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tribal defends it nicely.
Tribal tries a head kick but it misses.

Tribal fails to land the takedown.
Tribal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kiang as he avoids it easily.
Kiang fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tribal dives in for a single leg takedown but Kiang sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kiang counters with a body kick.
Kiang fails to pull guard.
Kiang blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Tribal is defending well against a takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Tribal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kiang's waist but Kiang gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tribal off to one side.

Tribal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kiang misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tribal is on top in guard.

Tribal stands and throws Kiang's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kiang is trying to escape the position but Tribal is controlling the position.

You can see the frustration on Kiang's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tribal thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Tribal stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Tribal fails to land the takedown.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Tribal.
Kiang steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Tribal tries to close the distance and clinch but Kiang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tribal shoots for a double leg takedown but Kiang sprawls well. He's pushed Tribal's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kiang changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Yawa Kiang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kiang shoots in but Tribal avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jack Tribal showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Tribal has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
