Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kian Greer (ranked 3872 p4p, 3617 weight class) and Mario Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Greer enables Kirby to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Greer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Greer is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kirby presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Kirby jumps guard but Greer stands there with Kirby around his waist. Kirby gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Greer digs a right hand underneath Kirby's ribcage. Kirby let out a lung full of air as it connected.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kian Greer will probably get the nod.
