Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Deanthony Pederson (ranked 149 p4p, 564 weight class) and Lloyd Blue (ranked 23 p4p, 79 weight class). Blue has chosen HonestKey- When I Wake Up as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Deanthony Pederson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Lloyd Blue! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pederson swings for the body but Blue moves out of range.
Blue is looking to score with low kicks. Blue misses with a hook. Blue avoids the body shot from Pederson.
Pederson moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBlue. Blue misses with a low kick.
Blue waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pederson. Pederson connects with a body shot that sends Blue's belly button to the back. Pederson avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blue is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pederson. Blue lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pederson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Blue throws a hook but Pederson avoids it easily. Blue keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pederson. Pederson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Blue tries to counter with a clinch but Pederson shakes him off and moves away. Pederson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Pederson swats away the attempt to clinch by Blue. Pederson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Blue. Blue throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pederson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Pederson misses the jab.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Pederson lands with a cross. Blue misses with a head kick.
Pederson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Blue under the eye.
Pederson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Blue was covering up waiting for the punch and Pederson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pederson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Blue's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blue has Pederson pulled in close to control his posture. Pederson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blue swivels though and keeps the full guard. Blue can't keep his opponent in guard - Pederson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Blue blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pederson. Blue on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Pederson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blue makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Pederson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Pederson connects with a body shot. Pederson looks to score with a jab to the body but Blue is just out of range. Pederson keeps the fight on the outside. Pederson appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Pederson avoids the head kick by Blue.
Blue throws a hook but Pederson blocks it. Pederson throws a hook to the side of Blue's head but Blue sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Pederson thows a left - swing and a miss! Pederson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Blue tries to close the distance and clinch but Pederson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Blue pushes Pederson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Donk. Pederson catches Blue right on the button with a cross. Pederson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Deanthony Pederson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pederson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blue.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Pederson avoids the head kick by Blue.
Pederson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Blue throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pederson tries to counter with a takedown but Blue is quick to defend against it. Pederson lands with a right hand. Pederson throws a shot to the body.
Blue fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Pederson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Blue is trying to defend but Pederson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Blue is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pederson tries to pass to full mount but Blue defends it.

 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Pederson looks up at the clock and then as Blue takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pederson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Pederson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Blue! We've been hearing that Pederson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Pederson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Blue because Pederson loaded up on that one. Pederson looking to finish with strikes here!
Blue bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Blue controls from within his opponent's guard. Pederson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Blue trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pederson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Blue looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Blue must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Blue got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pederson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blue has managed to get both his arms back between Pederson's legs - danger averted.

Pederson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Blue throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pederson's body to avoid the submission. Pederson has instead reached around Blue's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pederson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Deanthony Pederson! A very excited looking Deanthony Pederson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. In defeat, Lloyd Blue stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thanks for this opportunity, and I wanna give a special shout out to my gym Triumph Over Fear, to my sponsor Honest Apparel, and most of all to True Octagon Fighting!'.
