Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Frye (ranked 4115 p4p, 4201 weight class) and Tariel Abuladze (ranked 0 p4p, 403 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joshua Frye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tariel Abuladze! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frye throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Frye rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abuladze moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Frye enables Abuladze to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Frye manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Abuladze throws a big right hand that misses. Abuladze is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Abuladze slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Abuladze taking a breather here. Let's hope that Abuladze has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abuladze cracks Frye with a big right hand but Frye just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Abuladze content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Abuladze works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The referee asks Abuladze politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Abuladze prefers to stall for the moment though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Abuladze's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Abuladze. Abuladze creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Frye trying to remain calm as Abuladze controls from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Frye plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Abuladze drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Abuladze is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. More stalling from Abuladze. Frye wants to get back to his feet. Abuladze content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tariel Abuladze dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Abuladze gets the takedown into side control. Abuladze taking a breather here. Yet more stalling tactics from Abuladze. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abuladze working the head and body with strikes.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Abuladze is working Frye over with some ground and pound from side control. You can see the frustration on Frye's face as Abuladze controls the position. Abuladze connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Frye some visible discomfort.
Abuladze is staying tight to Frye's torso, preventing him from escaping.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abuladze is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Frye is trying to escape and Abuladze transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Frye is forced to tap! Nice work there by Abuladze! Very nice indeed!
