The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodge moves into the clinch.
Hodge tries to circle away but Goldstein has him pinned against the cage.
Goldstein drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Goldstein wants a takedown.
Hodge tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Goldstein avoids it.
Hodge has a couple of punches blocked by Goldstein.
Hodge breaks the clinch.
Hodge shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Goldstein can do anything to dispel that myth.
Goldstein is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Hodge has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hodge lands a nice short elbow.
Goldstein is still in real trouble! Can Hodge finish him?
Goldstein is looking for a sweep. Hodge is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Hodge seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hodge is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Goldstein is hurt! He's hurt bad - Hodge fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Goldstein from any more punishment! Congratulations to Hodge! Great finish!
