Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seizo Hosokawa (ranked 4073 p4p, 4302 weight class) and Petrosyan Azarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petrosyan Azarian is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seizo Hosokawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Petrosyan Azarian!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azarian looks for a takedown but Hosokawa sprawls well.

Azarian gets a double leg takedown into Hosokawa's guard.
Azarian is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Azarian working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Hosokawa is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Azarian scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hosokawa tries to kick Azarian off but Azarian keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Azarian lands with a punch from half guard.
Azarian is pressing down on Hosokawa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hosokawa is holding on for now.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Azarian connects with a nice short shot to Hosokawa's temple.
Hosokawa flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Azarian is nestled in close to Hosokawa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Azarian lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hosokawa is rocked!
Azarian is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Oh Hosokawa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Azarian seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Azarian lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Hosokawa quite badly. Hosokawa pulls Azarian in close trying to recover. Azarian postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Hosokawa on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Hosokawa doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Petrosyan Azarian!
