Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Bennington (ranked 4078 p4p, 4095 weight class) and Charlie Kirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Kirk!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirk manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bennington on his heels. He'll look to pass Bennington's guard now, I'm sure.
Kirk makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Bennington is working an open guard so Kirk takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Bennington is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kirk asserts his dominance and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kirk has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Kirk has Bennington pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kirk pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bennington tumbling to the mat - Kirk dives into Bennington's guard.
Kirk is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Charlie Kirk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Bennington misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kirk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bennington comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kirk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kirk shoots in and bounces Bennington off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kirk is nestled in close to Bennington, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kirk connects with a nice short shot to Bennington's temple.

Well Kirk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
