Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Larry The (ranked 2296 p4p, 3991 weight class) and John Erceg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Larry The! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Erceg! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erceg gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Erceg pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Erceg gets a clinch. Erceg is looking to take this one to the mat. Erceg fails to pull guard.
The is trying to break the clinch but Erceg is controlling him. The is trying to break free. The prevents a body shot from Erceg. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Erceg just misses with a elbow thrown towards The's brow.
Erceg drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The got a little sloppy there for a moment and Erceg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, The has managed to get both his arms back between Erceg's legs - danger averted.
Erceg has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. The is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The tries to break free but Erceg pushes him back against the cage. The is trying to force a seperation but Erceg has the dominant position. A short right from Erceg.
Erceg gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, The regains guard.
Erceg trying to control the position from guard on top but The is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The is trying to control the position but Erceg postures up. Erceg showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Erceg would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Erceg pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. The is keeping the position for now. Erceg wants to control from the top but The keeps moving.
Erceg decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on The, up you get! Larry The seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The closes the distance and pushes Erceg back into the cage.
The breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A head kick misses from The.
Erceg clinches up with The and pushes him back against the cage.
Erceg manages to break the clinch.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
A momentary lapse in concentration from The enables Erceg to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. The manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Erceg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The swivels though and keeps the full guard. Erceg content to stall in guard here. It looks like Erceg might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Erceg lands a couple of decent looking shots. Erceg scoring with punches to the head and body. Erceg controls from within his opponent's guard. Erceg passes The's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Erceg has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Erceg landing strikes from the mount and The is in trouble! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John Erceg dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Erceg closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. The quickly recovers to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Erceg wants to pass the guard but The is defending well. The is refusing to be controlled, as Erceg sits in half guard. Erceg is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Erceg stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows The to get to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Erceg gets a double leg takedown into The's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The being controlled here, momentarily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Erceg trying to control the position from guard on top but The is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Erceg might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control The haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Erceg pushes down on The's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Erceg decides to return to a standing position.
Erceg shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The has hold of Erceg's hands but Erceg slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Erceg passes the guard and advances to mount!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Erceg trying to control but he's not successful this time. Erceg fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Erceg wants to control the pace but The is squirming around nicely. The is in a horrible position here. Erceg smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
 The is rocked!
The has left one of his arms exposed and Erceg doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. The screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
