And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Santos!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lei's guard.
Lei has momentary wrist control but Santos slips an elbow through the middle.
Lei being controlled here, momentarily.
Santos stands and steps away. Lei gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lei to the ground. Santos is now in Lei's guard.
Santos passes Lei's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Santos drops an elbow to the side of Lei's head.
Nice strikes from Santos there.
Santos seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lei is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
