Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joshuwa Caban (ranked 2744 p4p, 4295 weight class) and Nash Jacobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshuwa Caban! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nash Jacobson! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Jacobson. Jacobson is chipping away with strikes.
Caban can't do much from the bottom here. Caban prevents Jacobson from improving position.
Jacobson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jacobson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jacobson working the body and head with strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caban is being controlled here. Caban is looking to regain half guard here but Jacobson keeps moving and retains side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Caban defending against the ground and pound. Jacobson tries to advance to mount but Caban denies him.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Caban holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Caban has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jacobson is working away from the top position though.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jacobson blocks the strikes from Caban.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Caban doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacobson circles away.
Jacobson is looking to clinch but Caban is avoiding it.
Caban looking to score a takedown here. Jacobson is defending well but Caban drives through and ends up in Jacobson's guard. Jacobson can't keep his opponent in guard - Caban advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Caban is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jacobson is refusing to be controlled, as Caban sits in half guard. Caban wants to pass to mount but Jacobson is defending the position. Caban is keen to just control but Jacobson is a slippery customer. Jacobson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Caban. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobson is looking for a sweep. Caban is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Caban seems to be working for a kimura but Jacobson defends the submission attempt.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jacobson is looking to escape. Caban is nestled in close to Jacobson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jacobson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caban. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Caban connects with a nice short shot to Jacobson's temple. Jacobson gets back to full guard.
Caban gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Caban moves in looking to clinch but Jacobson pushes him off. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nash Jacobson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Caban shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jacobson sprawls well. Jacobson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Caban gets slowly back to his feet.
Caban moves into range and clinches up with Jacobson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Caban fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshuwa Caban. That's going to take a lot out of him. Caban scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Caban drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Caban is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Caban trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacobson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jacobson holds on and takes a little breather.

Jacobson is looking for a triangle but Caban pushes his legs off easily.
Caban trying to control but Jacobson is working from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Caban working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Caban shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jacobson defends it nicely.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Caban walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Caban clinches up against the cage. Jacobson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Caban stalling in the clinch.
Caban tries to stall but Jacobson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Caban is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Jacobson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jacobson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Caban avoids it really well and circles away.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Caban showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jacobson.
Jacobson is breathing heavily. Jacobson swats away the attempt to clinch by Caban. Caban plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Caban closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jacobson circles away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Both fighters working to control the clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Joshuwa Caban will probably get the nod. That's time! Caban's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Caban stuffs the takedown. Caban misses with a two punch combination.
Caban tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jacobson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Caban looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Caban slaps away a takedown attempt from Jacobson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Caban shoots in for a double leg but Jacobson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Despite the aggression on Jacobson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Caban fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jacobson avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshuwa Caban. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caban throws a body kick, spinning off balance

A much better position for Caban. Caban wants to stand up but Jacobson is controlling him. Joshuwa Caban overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Caban is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jacobson defends well. Jacobson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Caban is keeping the position for now.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Caban trying to keep a closed guard but Jacobson is proving a slippery customer.
Caban is really struggling to control Jacobson but he's trying to hold on to the position.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jacobson dives in and scores a takedown into Caban's guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jacobson gets to his feet. Caban looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
And that's the end of the fight! Nash Jacobson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jacobson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
