Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rasul Magomedov (ranked 4447 p4p, 2500 weight class) and Talan Boone (ranked 0 p4p, 243 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rasul Magomedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Talan Boone!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov clinches with his opponent.
Boone wants a takedown.
Boone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Boone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Magomedov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Magomedov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Magomedov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Boone manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Magomedov has Boone in his guard.

Boone throws an elbow that misses. Magomedov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Boone's guard. Nice move by Magomedov!
Magomedov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boone looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boone looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boone!

Boone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Magomedov keeps working.
Magomedov is looking for a sweep.
Magomedov takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Boone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Boone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Boone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Magomedov keeps working.
Magomedov is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Boone swings around for an armbar but Magomedov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Boone's guard.

Magomedov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boone dives on top into guard.

Boone slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Boone stalling away here and it's allowed Magomedov to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Boone wants to get up but he can't break Magomedov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

We've been informed that Boone has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Boone can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Magomedov controls the pace.

Boone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Magomedov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Boone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Boone stands up over Magomedov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Talan Boone is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Oh Magomedov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boone lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Magomedov quite badly. Magomedov pulls Boone in close trying to recover. Boone postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Magomedov on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Magomedov doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
