The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolan doesn't manage to clinch there - Velasquez circles away.
A head kick misses from Nolan.
Nolan misses the shot to the body.
Velasquez drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Nolan defends it well.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Velasquez.
Nolan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Velasquez on the ground.
Nolan is not content to let Velasquez control the position.
Velasquez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Velasquez tries to advance to mount but can't.
