Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helen Salvacion (ranked 23180 p4p, 23163 weight class) and Minatay Mibangon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helen Salvacion has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 66 - 106 - 11, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 57 - 90 - 20, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mibangon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salvacion somewhat.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon shows good takedown defense.
Mibangon tries to counter by closing the distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Salvacion goes for a double leg but Mibangon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mibangon continues to drive forward.
Mibangon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Salvacion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mibangon is taking a breather. Salvacion says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
