Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Common Carp (ranked 1074 p4p, 579 weight class) and Pedro Neto (ranked 147 p4p, 76 weight class). Carp's entrance music is Back On My BS - BigXthaPlug. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pedro Neto!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Neto.
Carp tries a low kick but Neto avoids it.
Neto misses with a straight right.
Carp appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Neto throws a right hand that Carp ducks under and follows up with a left that Carp also avoids with ease.
Neto throws an overhand right that lands on Carp's shoulder, as Carp tries to avoid the shot.
Neto moves into the clinch.
Neto tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Neto scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Carp misses with the head strike.
Neto is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Carp to keep the fight standing.

Neto tries to work over Carp's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Carp lands a right hand that snaps the head of Neto backwards.

Neto has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Carp seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Neto can turn it around.

Neto pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Neto catches Carp with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Pedro Neto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been told by Carp's head coaches at Honu Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Neto fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Neto waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carp.
Carp takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Neto misses with a looping right.
Carp slips a straight right by Neto.
Neto scores with a hook.
Neto is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carp.

Neto lands a big right hand that sends Carp crashing to the mat! Neto stays standing though and waves Carp back to his feet!
Carp is rocked!
Neto lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Carp up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Neto from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Carp's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pedro Neto!
After winning the bout, Pedro Neto thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
