Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Donovan (ranked 1420 p4p, 1433 weight class) and Leandro Lemos (ranked 176 p4p, 179 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ron Donovan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leandro Lemos! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lemos is looking to clinch. Lemos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
 It looks like Leandro Lemos has been cut. Donovan throws a jab when Lemos was well out of range. Lemos wants to clinch. Donovan throws a body punch but Lemos moves out of range. Donovan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lemos sees it coming and avoids it easily. Donovan circles away from the clinch attempt.
A big right from Donovan misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lemos moves away from the strike by Donovan. Donovan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Lemos tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Donovan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Donovan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lemos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A jab lands there for Donovan.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Lemos is looking to clinch. An attempted straight right counter from Donovan misses the target. Donovan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lemos is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Donovan throws a hook but Lemos blocks it. Lemos tries to clinch but Donovan moves away and Donovan counters with a nice uppercut. Donovan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Donovan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Donovan misses with a wild body shot.
Lemos closes the distance and clinches.
Donovan manages to break the clinch.
Donovan throws a hook to the side of Lemos's head but Lemos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Donovan looks to score with a jab to the body but Lemos is just out of range.
Lemos rushes Donovan and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Lemos tries to pull guard but Donovan forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. A head punch on the inside from Donovan fails to land. A short right hand to the side of the head by Donovan.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Lemos tries to pull guard but Donovan holds him up against the ropes and eventually Lemos drops back down to his feet.
Donovan struggles to land a body shot inside as Lemos controls his hands.
Lemos fails to pull guard.
Ron Donovan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leandro Lemos. Lemos jumps guard but Donovan stands there with Lemos around his waist. Lemos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lemos manages to pull guard.
Lemos looking to control.
Lemos is looking for a triangle but Donovan pushes his legs off easily.
Donovan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lemos working for a triangle but Donovan defends it easily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Donovan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Donovan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Donovan looking to sit in guard and control but Lemos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Lemos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lemos is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Donovan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Donovan has escaped and now he's on top!

 That's five minutes gone in the round.
Donovan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lemos to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Donovan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lemos pulls down on the head and he's put Donovan to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Leandro Lemos!
