Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tatko Popovic (ranked 1108 p4p, 1640 weight class) and Daniel Tyrell (ranked 122 p4p, 180 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tatko Popovic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Tyrell! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyrell blocks a jab. Popovic displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tyrell throws out the jab. Popovic is looking to counter with a shot to the body. A nice combination there by Tyrell.
Popovic lands a nice shot that snaps Tyrell's head back.
Tyrell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Popovic is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A jab from Popovic finds it's way through Tyrell's defenses. Popovic avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tyrell misses with a lunging right hand
and Popovic counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Popovic uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tyrell.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Popovic is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tyrell looks to land a left hand but Popovic moved out of range nicely. Tatko Popovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Popovic slips under a jab. Popovic definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Popovic misses with a looping right. It seemed like Tyrell was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Popovic takes one to the chin there. Popovic throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tyrell counters with a crisp right hand that drops Popovic! Tyrell lets Popovic back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
 Popovic is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Popovic throws a jab when Tyrell was well out of range. Oh Popovic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Popovic throws an overhand right that lands on Tyrell's shoulder, as Tyrell tries to avoid the shot. Popovic throws a predictable looking body shot
and Tyrell scores with a counter punch that sends Popovic to the canvas! Tyrell smells blood - he's punishing Popovic with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Popovic has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Tyrell! An out of breath Daniel Tyrell thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
