Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Terrellas Kirkas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gryffin McLawhorn! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirkas tries to bum rush McLawhorn with a series of wild strikes but McLawhorn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McLawhorn dives in for a single leg takedown but Kirkas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
McLawhorn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kirkas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. McLawhorn wants to control from the top but Kirkas keeps moving. McLawhorn stopping the sweep attempt from Kirkas. Kirkas keeping moving, preventing McLawhorn from controlling successfully. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kirkas holds on and takes a little breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McLawhorn content to stall in guard here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kirkas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. McLawhorn wants to control from the top but Kirkas keeps moving.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Kirkas moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
McLawhorn drives through and clinches with Kirkas against the ropes.
McLawhorn pulls guard.
McLawhorn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirkas postures up.
McLawhorn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kirkas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kirkas is sitting in close to McLawhorn's body. McLawhorn has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kirkas is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kirkas is tapping! That was a very nice submission by McLawhorn.
