Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Temujin Namkhai (ranked 15 p4p, 142 weight class) and Martin Jonsson (ranked 3 p4p, 22 weight class). Namkhai's entrance music is Batzorig Vaanchig - Mongolian Throat Singing. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Martin Jonsson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Martin Jonsson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Namkhai was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jonsson is still on wobbly legs! Can Namkhai finish him?
Jonsson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looked like Namkhai was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jonsson.
Jonsson looks to land a combination but Namkhai avoids it well.
Namkhai feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jonsson sprawling to the canvas! Jonsson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Namkhai finish him?!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice defenses there by Namkhai.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Jonsson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
