Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Caio Carvalho (ranked 920 p4p, 797 weight class) and Rubber Turtle (ranked 123 p4p, 112 weight class). Carvalho comes into the arena with Pentagono - É o Moio blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caio Carvalho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Rubber Turtle!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turtle moves out of range as Carvalho strikes.
Turtle appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Carvalho slips under a jab from Turtle.

Rubber Turtle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been hearing good reports from Carvalho's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Carvalho has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Carvalho isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Turtle stacks Carvalho on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Turtle!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Turtle gets to mount! Carvalho was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Carvalho tries to reverse the position but Turtle maintains control.

Carvalho sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Carvalho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

I would just about give that final round to Rubber Turtle.
I think Turtle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
